Op loopafstand van de woning zijn vele eetkraampjes en winkels.

Zoals bij de security-/ojekplek een winkeltje met o.a. water; steek de rotonde over, winkel bevindt zich aan de linkerkant., open van 7 tot ca. 19.00 uur.

Of bij de rotonde linksaf; volg de weg, de eetkraampjes staan langs deze weg

Vervolg deze weg totdat een rij winkeltjes zichtbaar is met o.a.;

Reisbureautje, Engels sprekende eigenaar, verzorgt binnenlandse vluchten, treintickets en boottickets.

Aan de overkant van deze winkeltjes is langs de straat op zaterdag en zondag een (pasar)markt die ‘s morgens heel vroeg begint.

Zondag is in Indonesië de nationale jogging dag, deze start s ‘morgens om 7 uur daar waar de markt is.

·         Ojek is een motortaxi door wie men zich naar de grote weg (depan!) kan laten brengen

                Ze staan op loopafstand van de woning bij de security post, kosten RP 5000 p.p. per rit

·         Aan de grote weg komen de Angkots, dit zijn kleine busjes met een vaste route, kosten RP 2500 p.p. per rit, ongeacht waar/wanneer men uitstapt

·         Neem bij deze opstapplaats no 7 en stap uit bij WarungJambu, zeg tegen chauffeur, stap over naar no 9 en stap uit bij Botani Square, zeg tegen chauffeur, dit is een groot warenhuis met allerlei voorzieningen zoals reisbureau, moneychanger (wisselkantoor), winkels, grote supermarkt, restaurants, bioskoop en fitness, elke dag open van 10 tot 22.00 uur

·         Terugreizen eventueel met de angkot, (9 en 7) en ojek, uitstappen bij security pos blok GG, of met de taxi aan de achterkant van het Botani gebouw, taxikosten ca. RP 50.000 tot aan de woning, Laat altijd de meter gebruiken, vraag dit alvorens in te stappen! Als eerste adres ViLa Bogor Indah 2 opgeven.

·         Taxi aan huis is op bestelling mogelijk, dit is ter plekke te regelen via de contactpersoon, het vergt wel enig geduld alvorens de taxi arriveert, 1 dag eerder bestellen met afgesproken tijd is beter.

·         Airport busstation bevindt zich bij het warenhuis Botani Square, de comfortabele Damribussen rijden dag en nacht naar Domistic en Internationaal vliegveld Jakarta, Soekarno Hatta, kosten ca. RP 50.000 p.p., taxirit van huis naar vliegveld ca. RP 70.000

·         Busstation naar andere bestemmingen bevindt zich op een andere plek in Bogor

·         Travel auto, deze verzorgt ritten vanaf de voordeur tot aan de deur van het opgegeven adres

·         Treinstation met o.a. bestemming naar Jakarta, niet naar Bandung

De treintickets ruim van tevoren kopen, ze zijn vaak uitverkocht, evenals vliegtickets.

Auto en chauffeur

We onderhouden contact met meerdere chauffeurs met auto die men kan inhuren voor een hele of meerdere dagen, naargelang de afspraak. Prijzen zijn afhankelijk van bestemming. Probeer door onderhandelen (NEEM DE TIJD) een goede prijsafspraak te maken, inclusief chauffeur, benzine en tol. Het is gebruikelijk de chauffeur tijdens de rit een eenvoudige maaltijd aan te bieden.

Huren voor 1 dag is 12 uren.

Richtprijs 1 dag; Bandung ca. RP 650.000 inclusief chauffeur en benzine over de Puncakpasl.

Richtprijs 1 dag; Bekasi en Jakarta Timur ca. RP 500.000 inclusief chauffeur, benzine, tol.

In Indonesië is het gebruikelijk dat chauffeurs ruim voor de afgesproken tijd arriveren. Schrijf altijd naam en tel. no. chauffeur(s) op.

Sorry for the delay in answering your email. We are back home now and look back to a very impressive stay in both Java and Bali.

One of the reasons it was so great was your service. You were very attentive and showed us and told us a lot of Java and the way people live. We felt very save in your car despite the chaotic traffic in Java with its countless motorbikes.

You asked advice to master your services.  It was good the way it was. So don’t change much. The only thing, which we already talked about and was also our mistake, is that, when arranging a hotel better in advance make an appointment about the budget. The V hotel in Bandung was cheap, and for one night we felt very… very young, but we both could have avoided that.

Together in Java and Bali I made over 1700 photographs. It will cost some time to sort them out. As an attachment I send you already one of your photo’s. Feel free to use it for promotion. I send you a few more later.

I hope I will be able to mention our experiences with you on “Wereldwijzer” (a blog for people who want to go to for example Indonesie), and also will mention your mobile number and url. We also give other travellers the possibility to contact us for more information. We will of course promote your services.

It last a longer time then I thought to send you a thanks for the trip through Java, we made ​​in January 2013.

We want to thank you for the nice trip and all the things you showed us of your great island. You know when we start in Bogor I asked you to avoid the main roads and drive through the small villages and kampoengs because we wanted to experience. "Life" of the people. Ok, we would drive over less good roads, “off the beaten tracks”, at a low speed,  with the chance of potholes, that was a choice but you have a very good comfortable car.

You are a very relaxed, cautious and reliable driver. Your english is very good and your knowledge as a guide has surprised us very much, you are a pleasant talker and entertainer with an interesting background  (regional sales manager at Gillette). Our common hotel choice has brought us in special locations especially in Garut (pity, no cold Bintangs), in Solo(Sahid Kusuma hotel) and in Malang (Enny’s Guesthouse). I told you during a rest stop, while enjoying our coconutwater in a big rubber tree plantation, I was very interested in the process of making rubber. Therefore our visit to the Glenmore plantation was a big surprise. All those old Dutch machines from 1930 and older who are still in full use. We feel sorry to say goodbye to you in Kalibaru but our visit to the Kawah Ijen was a phenomenal end of our trip Java although we found the price for this item very high for just the transport to the base station. The price we agreed for the trip with you was very good in relation to what you have commanded us.

During our further stay in Bali we gladly thought back to the nice 10 days in Java.

On 25 January I started drive for Mr Dirk Kramer,. The trip was started in Bogor and finish in Ketapang east java, it was for about 10 days.

First day we travel to Garut, I offer them to visit the Cangkuang temple in Leles Garut
They were very interesting with the nice view around the temple. they talk with some of the local people there...and we continue the trip to find the hotel in Cipanas. They stay at Bayu Alam Hotel
The hotel has no swimming pool but has a large room, clean and good service.

Second day we travel to Pangandaran, I advice them to stay in Pangandaran at least 2 days
Cause in Pangandarn tourist could do a lot such as following the country side tour where the tourist
could see how the local people make the Tempe, Kerupuk and palm sugar as well
Visit the green cayon, National park and many others.

After Pangandaran to Wonosobo they stay at Surya Asia hotel wonosobo
before continue the trip to Solo, they visit the Dieng plataue
we travel to solo via Ketep Pass. the view point for Merapi mountain. It was amazing view...

Solo travel to Malang via Tawang Mangu and again it was amazing view...

And at the last day I invite them to visit the rubber fabric at the Glanmore plantation 
There they get the experience how to make the rubber material.

How are you doing? Are you on a trip?

 

Life took its normal course here. I started working on the 31^st of August. As usual it is very busy in the first weeks after a holiday. The kids are going to school.

Everybody wanted to know about our trip to Indonesia. Of course we told them that we found a fantastic driver.

 

In Bali we used several drivers to go to the next hotel. We went from Lovina to Ubud, from Ubud to Legian and from Legian to Sanur. There we realized what a good time we had with you as a driver. This was really important for the success of our trip.

 

Looking back we would have liked to spend some more time in the Kalibaru area. This area was more interesting than expected. So, maybe another time. I think there are still enough others places to visit.

 

We will send the photo’s as soon as we find the time to put them on the computer.

I have made a very nice journey in Java with my son to find back the places of my roots, which lay in the after war history of the Dutch in Java.
We were very lucky and pleased to have Djaelani Jay as our driver and guide for the period of about 10 days on Java.
He made our trip unforgettable and did everything to help us to find the old houses and addresses in Bogor and in the beautiful town of Bandoeng. We liked his company very much and furthermore.. he is a very good and calm driver. My son shared a lot of jokes with him…

For what about your question, here is our opinion:
1. The trip: very good, we saw the most things we wanted to. Only the show in Bandung with the anglung we didn't like so much;
2. The service: Excellent. You really know what service means, little things like tea and biscuits in the car we really appreciated.
3. the car: very good. The most important thing is the aorconditioning and that worked very well!
4. Tour arrangement: very good. You were very helpful with everything like arranging hotels etc.

Me and my girlfriend went to Java with our two friends in September 2010.
As i heard some good story's about Djaelani we decided to ask him to drive us trough Java.
W had our own schedule about what to see and visit. During our journey Djealani added some nice
things to our trip, like factory visits and some nice traditional Indonesian restaurants. What we really like
about Djaelani is his humor, flexibility and his adjusting ability. His driving skills are admirably. What i mean is that
he drives really safe, but not slow. I personally think that's an exception for an Indonesian man!
Don't forget to ask Djaelani about the local food and sweets, he is the best when it comes to traditional local food!!

We travelled with Djaelani through Java and part of Bali in 2010. He was recommended to us by Belgian friends who had already travelled with him a few times in Indonesia. Although we had never travelled with a personal driver and guide before, we immediately felt at ease with Djaelani. He is a safe driver, reliable, punctual, discrete and above all an entertaining guide. Although you obviously need a local guide if you visit specific attractions, we learnt a lot about Indonesian culture, nature, religion, lifestyle, etc. just by our day-to-day chats with Djaelani. Djaelani also helped us determining our travel plan for Java, as we hadn't booked any hotels for the first part of our trip before we arrived in Jakarta. So we visited Bogor, Bandung, Pangandaran, Yogyakarta, Bromo, Surabaya (Java) and finally Lovina (Bali), where Djaelani dropped us at our first hotel in Bali. We had a fantastic time in Indonesia with Djaelani and we recommend him to anyone who wants to get the most out of Indonesia!

In de zomer van 2010 ben ik met mijn ouders en broertje door Indonesie gaan reizen. Via via kwam ik met Djaelani in contact. Hij heeft ons het grootste deel van Java laten zien. Djaelani is de prettigste chauffeur die je je maar kan wensen! Net zoals veel toeristen wilden wij in weinig tijd zo veel mogelijk zien. Djaelani had hier alle begrip voor en bracht ons overal waar we heen wilden. Het was vooral erg prettig dat hij aangaf wat de mogelijkheden waren en wat de mooiste plekjes zijn om te bezichtigen. Met mijn vader kon hij dan uren overleggen over hoe de route eruit zou komen te zien, waar we zouden overnachten en hoe laat we dan het beste konden vertrekken. Alles was met hem bespreekbaar. Wij zijn Djaelani dan ook erg dankbaar voor deze fantastische trip. Ik weet heel zeker dat wij veel meer hebben gezien dat wanneer we in een touringbus waren gestapt. We hebben bij plekjes gegeten waar je normaal gesproken niet snel komt en in schitterende hotels geslapen die je anders ook helaas zou missen. En natuurlijk heeft Djaelani ons veel kunnen leren over de cultuur. We hebben heel wat uren met hem in de auto gezeten, dus hebben we ook veel tijd gehad om te kletsen. Daarnaast wil ik Djaelani complimenteren naast een gids is hij ook nog eens een hele goede chauffeur. Hij heeft een fijne auto en rijdt ontzettend netjes.
Vanuit Java zijn we nog naar Bali en Lombok gegaan. Een schitterende ervaring die ons nooit meer wordt afgenomen.

Het was mijn vader's jongensdroom een keer naar Indonesië te gaan, voor hem nog steeds Indië. Door allerlei omstandigheden was dat er nog steeds niet van gekomen toen hij inmiddels 77 jaar oud was. We hebben hem qua route een aantal zaken genoemd die we wilden zien, maar hij kwam ook met een aantal voorstellen die zonder meer de moeite waard bleken. Wij bevelen hem dan ook van harte aan.

Recommendation privé-chauffeur Djealani.


In Mei 2010 zochten we een privé-chauffeur op het Indonesiche eiland Java en zijn we met Djaelani in contact gekomen. Hij heeft samen met ons een reisprogramma opgesteld voor 2 weken op Java. Ook heeft hij de hotels en de treintickets Bandung – Jogjakarta voor ons geregeld, alles naar volle tevredenheid en zonder enig probleem. We kunnen Djealani dan ook van harte aanbevelen, de organisatie en uitvoering waren uitstekend.
We reisden over Java met Djaelani’s collega Deny als chauffeur/gids en hij is betrouwbaar, zorgzaam en verantwoordelijk. Zowel Djaelani als Deny hebben laten zien dat ze betrouwbaar zijn.

In May of this year we were looking for a private driver on the Indonesian Island of Java and we did come in contact with Djaelani. He made together with us a travel program for two weeks. Also he arranged the hotel accommodation and the train ticket for Bandung – Jogjakarta. All this was completely satisfactory and without any problem. Therefore we can recommend Djaelani sincerely: the organization, execution and performance was excellent.
We traveled with Djaelani’s colleague the private driver Deny and we had a fantastic holiday. He takes care, feels responsible and is reliable.
Both Djaelani and Deny have demonstrated to be fully reliable private drivers.

I have made a very nice journey in Java

I have made a very nice journey in Java with my son to find back the places of my roots, which lay in the after war history of the Dutch in Java. We were very lucky and pleased to have Djaelani Jay as our driver and guide for the period of about 10 days on Java. He made our trip unforgettable and did everything to help us to find the old houses and addresses in Bogor and in the beautiful town of Bandung. We liked his company very much and furthermore.. he is a very good and calm driver. My son shared a lot of jokes with him…
We hope in the future, if we come back to Indonesia, to invite him again to drive us around the beautiful islands!

Afgelopen jaar waren wij met familie in Indonesië; Java en Bali. Omdat we graag onafhankelijk wilden zijn wilden we niet alles vastleggen vooraf in Nederland. Het leukste is vaak om onderweg aldoende de reis meer vorm te geven. Zo kwamen we via via in contact met Djaelani in Indonesië. Direct met hem hebben we het een en ander besproken. We bleven eerst een aantal dagen in Jakarta, hier konden we zelf alles regelen (echter Djaelani kan ook in Jakarta gids zijn), Djaelani kwam al naar ons hotel in Jakarta om de reis vanaf Jakata te plannen. Prima. Dat geeft veel vertrouwen en hij heeft ons prima geholpen. Een goede chauffeur geregeld die niet als een idioot over de wegen raasde, maar prima wist hoe met toeristen te rijden. Mijn ouders, inmiddels op leeftijd, vonden het prima. Wat betreft betalingen waren er ook geen problemen. Alles volgens afspraak. We betaalden Djaelani, via de chauffeur, per traject. Tips zijn natuurlijk extra en moet men niet vergeten. Er waren helemaal geen problemen. Onderweg besloten we een stuk met de trein te gaan en de auto met chauffeur vooruit te laten rijden met onze bagage zodat deze ons kon opwachten bij een treinstation in Banyar. Hij stond keurig op ons te wachten. Daarna met de auto verder naar Yogyakarta. Succes en veel plezier voor degenen die naar Indonesië gaan.

We traveled all the way from Jakarta to Bali in 10 days time. In Bali Djaelani can also drive, you can take the ferry, but because we stayed several days at 1 location he drove the car back empty. Djaelani is very friendly, at the hotels you got privacy, but if he is needed he will be there. He is very helpful in selecting a hotel or guest house (he knows were to find them) and has no problem drive longer during the evening until the passengers are satisfied with the hotel. Djaelani does not own cars and vans, he always rents an air conditioning one, only a few years old. Based on the number of passengers and luggage, he proposes the size of the car. He speaks pretty good English (and Dutch too. He is a driver and guide 1. With other tour operators you often get a driver and guide, which is more expensive.

Wij zijn helemaal vanuit Jakarta naar Bali gereisd in 10 dagen tijd. In Bali kan Djaelani ook rijden, je steekt dan over met de veerboot, maar omdat wij meerdere dagen op 1 plek bleven reed hij met een lege auto terug. Djaelani is erg vriendelijk en spraakzaam, trekt zich terug op de plaatsen van bestemming maar als hij nodig is dan is hij er. Hij is behulpzaam bij het uitzoeken van een hotel of gasthuis (hij kent er voldoende) en heeft er geen moeite mee om net zo lang door te rijden voor een overnachtplaats tot zijn reizigers zelf ook tevreden zijn. Djaelani heeft geen eigen auto's en busjes, hij huurt altijd een auto of busje met airco van enkele jaren oud, dit in overleg met zijn toekomstige reizigers. Aan de hand van het aantal personen en de bagage stelt hij de grootte van de auto voor. Hij spreekt best goed Nederlands (dat oefent hij graag) en Engels. Kwam er op neer dat we beide talen gebruikte. Hij is chauffeur en gids in 1. Bij andere aanbieders krijg je vaak een chauffeur en gids, wat natuurlijk duurder is.
